Quick-Change and Acura-Tap 

Universal offers you two different tap chuck systems, each has its own performance and application advantages.

The Universal Quick-Change system is basically a system that allows taps to be changed by removing the tap, or tap adapter from the chuck body while it remains in the machine spindle. Another advantage of this system is that is offered with two types of tap adapters; positive drive and adjustable torque control.

The Universal Acura-Tap chucks are offered for those applications that do not require quick-change or adjustable torque features. These chucks use Acura-Tap collets to grip and (positive) drive the tap. Both systems are offered in a variety of shank styles.
